Our Project Process

Introduction

This documentation has been created to provide guidelines on the Web Design and Development implemented by Link Spot Australia.

Overview

Link Spot Australia’s Web Design Guideline is an informative process created to assist in meeting the client’s full requirements thus building a confident rapport with them. Anywhere within the guidelines where ‘meeting’ is stated this can refer to any form of suitable communication.

The Design Process

  • First Meeting – Consultation and Planning

A meeting is held with the client and/or its representatives and Link Sport Australia to outline the clients requirements and expectations of the web design:

An initial estimate of cost can be provided at this stage if required. However should there be additional requirements to the web design at a later date this estimate would be subject to change.

  •  Draft Development

A prototype of the design will be created to enable the client to view and understand the design of the web development. This draft will be used during the development to better assist the client in their requirements.

  •  Second Meeting – Planning and Review

Link Spot Australia and the client will meet to discuss the draft prototype and quote. The client has a chance to discuss any required changes or additions to the draft design until the client is satisfied.

  •  Provision of Content

The client is to provide Link Spot Australia with content to be included in the web design. Content may include the following forms:

Keywords and Text

Images or Photographs

Advertising Requirements

Link Spot Australia will develop the website based upon the information and content provided and will keep in regular contact with the client to liaise during the web design or development process. This gives the client the opportunity to view the website development in progress and visit the Link Spot Australia development website during construction.

  •  Third Meeting – Review and Changes

Link Spot Australia and the client will arrange a meeting to discuss the work completed and the client will provide Link Spot Australia with any changes required or any additions.  Steps 4 and 5 will be repeated until the client is satisfied with the web development.

  •  Testing

Link Spot Australia and the client will test the web development and design ensuring it meets the full requirements and the following are correct:

  • Keywords and content have been utilised.
  • All links are verified
  • All scripting works,
  • Passwords (if required) are working
  • Printing options operate
  • Page consistency is verified

The site is also tested in Internet Explorer versions requested by the client. All required changes during testing are made.

  •  Live Site Uploading

Link Spot Australia may upload the website if required to its live address and ensure the site is working in its live context.

  •  Web Promotion (optional)

At the clients request Link Spot Australia will promote the web site to search engines as required. Please note this service will incur an additional cost depending on the work required. Website hits can be monitored on an ongoing basis if required at an additional cost also.

  •  Sign Off

The client will be asked to complete a job signoff form once they are satisfied with the web site and to confirm the job has been completed. After sign off, all changes made to the site are the responsibility of the client and any changes required will be chargeable by Link Spot Australia.

  •  Ongoing Responsibility

Link Spot Australia will provide ongoing support and maintenance of the website if required. Customers can still pay for support after expiration if they wish to continue receiving our technical support.
