• Make sure there are no spaces in your domain name. While spaces can be used in the title of your website, they cannot be used in the domain name. Make sure there are no spaces in the domain name you would like to use.
• Make sure your domain name is at least 3 characters long and is no more than 63 characters long. While there are domain names that are shorter than three characters, they are most likely all taken. To increase your chances that a domain name is available, try using more than three characters. It's also a good idea to limit the domain name to 63 characters. The shorter the domain name, the better, but make sure the domain name is long enough to ensure that it is available.
• The domain cannot contain www.. While, you can have www as your subdomain, you cannot have www. as part of your domain name. This is because the (.) character isn't allowed in domain names. With a sub domain of www, you can still have a domain name that reads www.yourdomain.com, so don't worry! As a matter of fact any site with www. at the beginning of it is using www as a subdomain.
• Domain names are not case sensitive. This means you can have your domain be YourDomain.com and if someone puts in yourdomain.com, it will still take them to your website!
• Your domain cannot promote child or human rights abuse or animal cruelty. At Link Spot, we are strictly against child abuse and animal cruelty. We reserve the right to revoke any domain names that promote any of these things and immediate action will be taken.
